Mechanical practice involves activities that are aimed at form accuracy. While, meaningful practice focus on production, comprehension or exchange of meaning though the students “keep an eye on” the way newly learned structures are used in the process.
The inductive method relies on Discussing, Analyzing and Comparing. While, in the deductive method, the teacher induces the learners to realize grammar rules with some form of explicit explanation.
It is essential for the teacher to know how to present the form and meaning of a structure in a way that is clear, simple, accurate and helpful.
