The normal population in Australia expects to get between three and four upper respiratory infections each year. But if you look at groups of elite athletes, about 15 percent of those athletes can have six or seven or more, even up to 11 or 12. They seem to get more vulnerable as they train harder.

About the same time, attackers tried to use small explosive devices to detonate large fuel storage tanks at the Demiroren Group facility in Istanbul's Esenyurt neighborhood. The bombs exploded but failed to rapture the fuel tanks. There were no injuries. The first bomb went off about an hour before the hotel explosions, while a second one went off at nearly the same time as the attacks on the hotels.
