Every year an of 78,000 foreign high school students go to study in the United States. Their reasons for studying include: improving their English, finishing high school, and learning as much as possible about a different culture. Among the greatest difficulties they face is finding a family to live with. And there are other as well, such as covering the cost of personal items like clothing, long distance calls, and medical bills. These teenagers suddenly have to learn to by themselves. Of course, parents always help as their children are not whatsoever to traveling by themselves. Leaving behind their families when getting on the plane departing for America is their most experience. Awaiting their flights to their destinations within America is another challenge for them. After they have settled, students complain about foods, painful longing for home, or regulations such as how early to be home on weekend nights or risk being punished. Students with little of English must take private language lessons. And this, in turn, increases their total study expenses.
