As Director of the Office of International Student Affairs, I regard it as one of my more pleasant duties to welcome you on behalf of State University to the Annual International Dinner. This year the food that you are enjoying was prepared by students from 35 countries. Right now coffee from Brazil and Columbia is being served at the tables, and for those of you who prefer tea, there is a selection of teas from Japan, India and Ireland at the beverages booth. Please serve yourselves. In the meantime, I would like to take a few moments to thank some of the people who have worked so hard to make this evening possible, especially Mr. Abdul AI-Hussein, president of the International Student Association; Miss Isabel Ruiz and Mrs. Benne Singh, chairpersons of the Food Committee; Mr. Sim Lee, chairperson of the Program Committee; and Mr. and Mrs. George Pappas, chairpersons of the Publicity and Ticket Committee. I am sure that the dinner could not have been such a success without their time and efforts. And now, as I see, almost everyone has been served, and we will be able to begin our program. First, a fashion show, featuring the typical dress of 15 countries, followed by a number of traditional songs and dances from around the world. After the program, may I invite you to stay to dance to disco music compliments of Jim Johnson, here with us from WQAD radio After the program, what will the students do The students will ______.
