听力原文:I'd like to turn our attention to a petition involving an important issue that affects a lot of us here. Univex Systems has created a petition in support of the roadway improvements that Mayor Simmons has recently proposed for the Olivia Street corridor —the road that ninety-five percent of us take to get here every day. The roadwork that's currently under debate will consist of adding additional lanes from Route sixteen-oh-four to Highway eighty-one, and will add left- and right-turn lanes at each major and minor intersection along Olivia Street between Route sixteen-oh-four and Highway eighty-one. Finally, they'll also add two bus stops and a bike path. Most of you will probably agree that these are much needed improvements and I hope you will sign the petition. It will be located on top of the file cabinet behind Jerry Nunez's desk in the Operations Building on the first floor. It will be available Tuesday, September fifth through Friday, September fifteenth.
Why does the speaker want employees to support the project?

A. Because Olivia Street is a dangerous road.
Because the company is moving to Route 1604.
C. Because the company is paying for part of it.
D. Because the construction will improve their commute.

听力原文:I want to discuss the changes in assignments and reporting that will go into effect October first. First of all, your team won't be reporting to Lisa any more. Rebecca will be your new supervisor. Lisa will still be working with your team, but she's not going to be involved with the day-to-day details or schedules of any of your projects. Her focus is going to be on expanding our client base and creating more revenue. The second change is a shift of resources within the team. Let me give an overview and then we'll go into details. First, Carol and John are going to take over the Slavin Project. This will free up Steve to be a co-lead on the Talon Project with Marcia. Robert and Wendy, you'll both remain on your current projects in your current roles. I'm sure you all have a lot of questions, and I'll do my best to try and answer them.

C. She will have to leave the meeting early.
